'Atlas of a Lost World: Travels in Ice Age America' by Craig Childs

Finished 9/14/2019

This book was amazing and fascinating. Childs offers a historical account of ancient America, in a time period that I knew embarrassingly little about but in places I know and love. Intertwined with personal stories, the book is entirely original, and probably one of my favorites of this year.

It has me thinking about the true concept of time (especially, when paried with reading Everything Is Illuminated in ways that I haven't fully digested yet. When you visit locations that were visited in increments of 5000 years, doesn't that make all the history you know about seem small in comparision?

I can't recommend it enough.
